Most tools backed by the server, such as downloaders, Minecraft tools and the Text-To-Speech tool, now have a status indicator to show if the tool is experiencing issues! Use these to quickly check if a tool is having problems, I will already have been notified and will be working on a fix.

All media downloader assets (thumbnails, avatars), as well as assets for the Minecraft tool, are now proxied through the server instead of being directly loaded from your device. This ensures that privacy is respected when using tools to external services.

The hashing tool now uses the hash-wasm library for much better performance and a wider selection of algorithms. Hashing files of multiple gigabytes is now possible and does not lag your browser.

Some search engines, notably Google, was not indexing the site properly, and was therefore displaying mangled text in search results, or not displaying results at all. A sitemap has now been added, and text is now properly rendered and formatted.

Following the media proxy update, the Twitter downloader now proxies all media through the server. This tool would fail when downloading videos because of cross-origin issues, which is now fixed

The YouTube downloader would sometimes return a weird set of resolutions/formats, sometimes also duplicated. This, along with some further YouTube updates breaking info retrieval, is now fixed.

Downloaded audio for YouTube, SoundCloud and Instagram now have detailed metadata added to them, including cover art for songs. The Spotify downloader already has this functionality, try them out!

The YouTube downloader is now fixed again after changes made by YouTube. It now uses yt-dlp as the backend which should provide superior stability and speed.

Download speeds and overall client performance is improved for all media downloaders, should provide up to 50% faster downloads and less bandwidth usage. Also improved the UI while downloading to provide smoother progress feedback and more detailed process stages.

BluTools is now available as a desktop application for Windows, macOS and Linux! It has all the same features as the web version, but with better performance, offline support and native system integration. Audio/Video Encoder tools will also gain native hardware acceleration improvements in a future update.

BluTools has gotten a long overdue user interface update, with a new category-based layout as well as new unified headers on each page (explained more below). The new layout should make it easier to find tools in categories instead of a long list.

Use the command palette to quickly search for tools, and use your keyboard to navigate efficiently. You can open it by pressing Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on Mac), or by clicking the search icon in the toolbar on mobile.

You can now add tools as favorites by clicking the heart icon in the header. Your favorites will be shown at the top of the sidebar, as well as at the top of the home page.

You can now adjust some features by clicking on the icon in the bottom left of the home page. For now you can choose to toggle on/off the new user interface updates if you prefer the old one.

All tool pages now have a unified header design, to show information about the tool as well as some actions. Here you can copy the link to the current tool, as well as add it as a favorite! You can also minimize the header by clicking/tapping it.

The mobile layout has been improved by hiding the sidebar strip, and a new toolbar at the top of the screen to expand the sidebar as well as open the command palette. The sidebar is also now fancier with better transparency.

The home page no longer displays your IP Address (behind an experiment). You can still see and copy it in IP Tools.

A direct link to download the APK for BluTools Mobile has been added, if you want to skip using BluApps.

The About have been redesigned to fit the new design direction of BluTools.

This page has also been redesigned.

More detailed usage analytics have been added using Plausible, which will help understand usage of the tools and improve the website. No personal data is ever sent, and data is generalized and anonymous. Analytics can be fully disabled on the About page.

Time Tools may have shown mirrored ahead/behind time sync status if the backend was out of sync.

Fixed the downloader after some changes to the website.

Fixes issues with the back gesture, and the app not being fullscreen. Fixed downloading multiple files with the same name by adding an incrementing number to the end of the filename. Fixed some tap inputs registering double inputs.

Fixed the page jumping around when loading for the first time (or on a slower machine). The app will now smoothly load in.

FFmpeg.wasm and ImageMagick are now cached on your device for faster loading, so it does not have to be downloaded every time.

Improved encoding/decoding of Base64

This tool is now available in the mobile app! This uses the slower single-threaded version of ffmpeg-wasm, but encoding audio is still fast.

Similarly to the Audio Encoder tool, the Video Encoder tool is also made available in the mobile app. Because this is single-threaded, encoding videos will be much slower, but it works fine with smaller videos and lower qualities.

Fixed transparency and blur in some places. Fixed the app not being full-screen in some scenarios

This new tool can be used to convert and encode audio files, and also extract audio from video files! You also get a lot of customization options to convert lossless formats, change sample rates, bitrates, bit depth, and more. This is similar to the video encoder tool, and as such, is not supported on mobile as of now.

Adjusted bundle amounts based on new prices in-game. Added Euro conversion as well.

Updated dependencies, namely YouTube.js to fix downloading videos.

You can now download Instagram Reels using BluTools! It will be automatically detected using the BluTools Media Downloader, or use the standalone Instagram Reels downloader.

Fixed Chromium support by disabling multithreading. Multithreading using ffmpeg-wasm is only supported on Firefox as per now, making Firefox much faster for encoding videos

Added support for reading clipboard from the BluTools Mobile app. Fixed an error when downloading media with special characters in the filename

Now adds metadata (title, artist, album) and cover art to downloaded files!

All the media downloaders are now available as a single tool! Simply paste a link, and it will be automatically detected and looked up. You can also search for content from a specific platform (only Spotify for now).

Fixed the time syncing tool displaying ahead/behind mirrored.

After Spotify had an incident related to a mass scraping of their songs (not related to BluTools!!!) they have made some extra measures like disabling their track API for user tokens. This has been fixed by using the "pathfinder" API instead (used in the web player). Also fixed some random 404 errors which happened after the internal token expired.

Fixed the downloader again by automatically fetching YouTube player data. Fixed setting the incorrect audio bitrate, improving download speed. Fixed a crash in the frontend when downloading large videos (2K, 4K).

The Spotify downloader is back, and now much faster and more reliable! Search (or paste a link) and download individual tracks directly from Spotify (limited to 128 kb/s). Read the disclaimer on the downloader page before using it.

SoundCloud is now blocking some datacenter IPs, so the downloader was not working for a couple days. This has been mitigated by using a proxy

Some more security checks were implemented to their APIs, breaking the video downloader, this has now been fixed.

This tool allows you to convert between currencies... Well, between V-Bucks and USD/NOK. It uses the in-game price of V-Bucks bundles to convert between game and real world currency pretty accurately.

BluTools is now available on BluApps, my own app store! BluTools will now redirect you there to download/update, and updates will be automatically handled in the future.

The "IP Lookup" tool has been renamed to "IP Tools", and now shows the calculated CIDR in the subnet calculator!

THe downloader would previously default to the highest quality available, which will take a long time to download. Qualities over 1080p also resulted in an error. The default is now 1080p, and downloading higher qualities is also fixed.

Updated player_id which fixes downloading videos. Also improved error handling, so in the future, this will simply show a graceful error message instead of nothing at all.

Convert images between formats (currently JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, AVIF and TIFF), compress and resize images, or round off corners.

Lets you check if your system clock is accurate, with precise time synced from NTP servers. Heavily inspired by time.is. In the future this will also include more tools to work with time and timestamps.

Fixed the TikTok downloader after some changes to the TikTok website.

Fixed the sidebar scroll hint sometimes not disappearing even if scrolled all the way to the bottom on mobile

There is now an option to only use "simple" symbols, which are easier to type on a keyboard. There is also a new option to use segments (dashes) in your password. Your preferences in the password generator will also now be saved automatically, and restored when you return!

Encode videos to change resolution, format, framerate and more. Powered by FFmpeg.wasm. This is not supported on mobile as of now, since some required features are not available in the Android WebView.

Fixed the YouTube downloader after some Google updates. It should now work as expected.

The cron parsing library was updated, which changed a function name that I didn't catch. This is now fixed, and the cron parser tool is working again.

Fixed an issue if the profile loaded did not have a cape texture, the tool would error out and not load anything.

BluTools is now fully supported on mobile screens, and is also available as a standalone app! It is not going to be available on Google Play due to the YouTube downloader, however I am making my own app store for my apps. Look out for that!

Decode and generate QR codes right in your browser! Supports some predefined formats (Wi-Fi, email, phone, + more) as well as custom text.

Automatically upgrade asset URLs to HTTPS. This was causing some errors with mixed content rules in some browsers.

This is most relevant for the mobile app, but BluTools can now be used offline. Some tools that require access to the backend (such as media downloaders) will not work, but all the client-side tools will work just fine.

BluTools will now check for version mismatches between the server and client, indicating that there is an update available. This is also mostly relevant to the mobile app.

You can now set minimum amounts of characters required for each character set, for example requiring at least one symbol in the password. By default, the generator will make sure there is at least one uppercase and one lowercase letter, as well as one number and one symbol. Love to Lørenskog Rådhus ❤️

You are now able to filter out characters that look similar, such as "0" and "O", or "i" and "l". You are also able to filter out duplicate characters, so no character will be used more than once.

BluTools has been rewritten in TypeScript, which means less bugs and easier updates in the future. Other components have also been rewritten completely, so all tools should now be functioning as expected.

BluTools has a new icon!

Your IP address which is displayed on the home page is now blurred until you hover your mouse over it to protect your privacy.

Fixed a bug where the speech would overlap itself if you kept pressing "Speak", you now have a "Stop" button.

Fixed the subnet calculator and added more validation

The Spotify tool has been removed due to its instability and mountain of bugs. It may return in the future, but for now it's unavailable.

The IPA signer and upcoming UUID/UDID tools have been removed since they were unstable, and as I've moved to Android myself this feature wasn't of very much interest.
